DAVID WETHERILL

David Wetherill is one of the most respected figures in contemporary sport.

A former World No. 2 table tennis player and three-time Paralympian, he has competed on some of the world’s most visible sporting stages and brings decades of experience shaped by elite competition.
 

David’s sporting career has unfolded across disciplines rather than along a single pathway. His early career was defined by success on the international table-tennis stage, including European and World Championship competition, before later expanding into endurance and hybrid sport.

Following his retirement from professional table tennis, David moved towards marathons, long-distance triathlon, functional fitness racing including the HYROX World Championships.

 

Within TableTron, David has contributed through live commentary and exhibition appearances, helping to shape how play is experienced and understood, while adding depth of knowledge and a distinctive on-site presence.

Beyond competition, David champions inclusion and accessibility, using his story to challenge limits and elevate those around him.​
